Networks for productions that can't go offline.
RC Cyber Solutions designs, secures and runs the network for film and TV productions. Studios, locations, base camps and remote shoots get fast internet with automatic failover, and your footage, scripts and schedules stay protected the whole way through.
Example network. The primary link drops every few seconds so you can watch failover happen.
Why RC
More than an internet rental.
Plenty of companies can drop a hotspot on set. We build the whole production network: the connection, the backup that takes over when it fails, and the security studios now ask about before they sign off.
One crew handles connectivity and cyber security, so nothing falls between two vendors.

What we build and run
Two disciplines.
One crew.
Connectivity keeps the production moving. Security keeps the project safe. We plan both together from the first site survey.
Connectivity
Keep it onlineOn-set and location internet
Grid and off-grid connectivity over Wi-Fi, mobile 5G+ and satellite for studios, locations and base camps.
Automatic failover
If the primary link degrades, traffic moves to a backup connection on its own. We test failover before filming starts.
VoIP for production
Phone service for production offices, base camps and remote sites that moves with the unit.
Managed monitoring
We watch links and devices through prep, shoot and wrap, and fix problems before the crew notices.
Security
Keep it safeContent and network security
Access control for crew and vendors, network segmentation and monitoring to protect footage, scripts and schedules.
Crew devices and accounts
Onboarding and offboarding for laptops, phones and cloud accounts, with multi-factor sign-in and remote wipe.
Backup and recovery
Tested backups of production data, so a lost drive or bad day doesn't cost you a shoot day.
Incident response
Containment, impact assessment and help with next steps, including communication with studios and partners.
A day on location
The network keeps its own call sheet.
Every link change, new device and blocked login is logged and watched by our team. Most days the crew never hears from us. That's the point.
How we work
Prep to wrap.
We work alongside your existing IT team, or take over the network entirely. Same four stages either way.
Plan
Site survey and a requirements call. We learn the locations, the schedule and what the studio expects for security.
Design
Primary, backup and off-grid paths, plus the security setup: who gets access to what, and what gets separated.
Deploy
We install, test failover before cameras roll, and hand the crew a simple guide for getting connected.
Support
On-set support through the shoot, then a clean teardown at wrap with devices and accounts offboarded.
Built around your schedule
Call times change. Units move. We plan for split days, company moves and last-minute locations.
Same standard on and off the grid
A stage with fibre and a mountain road with satellite get the same security and the same backup plan.
Direct access to the team
The people who design your network are the same people who answer the phone.
If the internet goes down, the production shouldn't notice.
FAQ
Common questions.
Can you get us online somewhere with no wired internet?
Yes. For off-grid locations we combine mobile 5G+ and satellite so you have a primary connection and a backup, even where there is no fibre or cable.
How does failover work?
Your network has more than one internet path. If the main one slows down or drops, traffic shifts to a backup on its own. We test this before filming so you know it works on the day.
Can you work with our existing IT team?
Yes. We can support your IT people on the production side, or run the whole network for you. We'll agree who owns what during planning.
Can you help with studio or distributor security requirements?
Yes. We help you meet the security requirements studios and distributors set, and we help prepare the documentation for their security questionnaires.
Do you work with smaller productions?
Yes. We support everything from independent shoots to multi-location series, and size the setup to the production.
